Senior Quality Manager

American Aerospace Controls is a well-established, highly respected and growing electronics manufacturer located in Farmingdale, NY. We have an exceptional opportunity for a Senior Quality Manager who will ensure compliance with our AS9100 & ISO9001 quality systems while driving continuous improvement in a lean manufacturing environment via statistical quality control methodologies.
The following job requirements are a must
- 5yrs experience (electronics manufacturing preferred)
- 3yrs experience in quality management role
- Experience with government, aerospace and defense contracts
- BS degree in engineering or related field
Job functions include
- Lead manager for 3rd party customer/re-certification audits
- Maintain quality manuals, schedule internal audits & quality records
- Schedule and lead quarterly management review meetings
- Coordinate corrective action processes
- Complete surveys, on-site audits and access customer websites & portals
- Will require obtaining Exostar token and government security clearance
- Coordinate customer correspondence for RMAs, DMRs, NCRs and CARs
- Train, evaluate, and supervise inspectors
- Manage incoming inspections and C of C compliance, in process and final inspections
- Coordinate SPC processes and generate continuous improvement opportunities
- Manage GAGE track software and coordinate calibration processes for all departments
To succeed in this critical role, you should have
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills
- Extensive experience with Lean Manufacturing, SPC, KPI’s and data analysis
- Green belt or equivalent training (Black belt a plus!)
- Experience with ERP software (EPICOR a plus!)
